AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEMORABILIA MUSEUM & CULTURAL ARTS CENTER
“Honoring Our Past, Celebrates Our Future”
“The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future.” Theodore Roosevelt
Cultural Preservation
The Arican proverb Sankofa, “we must return and claim our past in order to move forward our future. It is in understanding who we were that will free us to embrace who we now are” this is the essence of African-American Memorbila and Cultural Art Center (AAMMCAC).
AAMMCAC is an organization based in California with a primary objective of improving the ideals of family reunification, personal/social empowerment, and alternative education for Americans and the African Diaspora regarding the history of the African-American (A-A) journey and contributions to the nation’s heritage development.
AAMMCAC offers “signs of time gone by” that are graphically striking and historically important. Exhibit participants can see, touch, and feel an emotional impact of what African-American (A-A) forefathers experienced and more readily accept the ugly, shameful, and cruel part of America’s history… witnessing/experiencing the pain to participate in the healing.
